Denise has been on the board from the start showing her support for the community.  As a lifelong resident of Bakersfield she is always looking for a way to give back to her home town.  

Denise has been a Wedding and Event Planner with Fairy Godmother for about six years now. It is her dream job.  She loves cooking, going for walks with her two fur babies, anything bling and of course coffee with a small piece of chocolate to dip in it.

It is only right to give back to this community and the joy and happiness this Foundation brings to a well deserving couple could not be any better!

I have been with Rabobank for 26 years in Administrative, Commercial and Agricultural lending capacities.  Married to Jay Lockridge since 1986, have two adult children and two spoiled dachshunds. I am passionate about my faith, family and friends.  Backyard BBQs with friends, traveling and scuba diving make my heart happy.  I have known Colleen Bauer over 20 years and she has a beautiful, kind heart for people.  So when she asked me to join this board, I could not say no.  Being on the board from the very beginning, I have enjoyed working with our brides, vendors and watching the Fairy Godmother Foundation grow and flourish into the amazing foundation it is today.

Co-owner of NV Catering, Jessica was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. She absolutely loves her hometown and the community that surrounds her. Three years ago Jessica took the leap to leave her corporate job and work full time with her husband, Chef Nathan Vasquez. Together they have built a successful catering business. Through the catering business she has had the opportunity to not only meet many wonderful couples getting married but to be able to give back to the community by working with several non-profits. Her love and passion to cater to her clients made her decision very easy to join the Fairy Godmother Foundation Board.

On her time off she and her husband love to spend quality family time with their three beautiful children, travel and relax. Her hobby is doing DIY home improvements! There’s nothing like having fresh décor to go home to and relaxing.

Amanda is one half of the dynamic flower duo House of Flowers. What started as a small operation in a spare bedroom, has grown into a full service flower studio catering to Bakersfield’s every day floral, event and wedding needs for the last 10 years. With her mother, Diana, at her side, Amanda has grown to realize her passion for everything nature, flowers, and business.

What started as the scariest thing she’s ever done has turned into the best thing she’s ever done.

Her constant need to express, explore and grow has been fulfilled by her journey in owning a business. Her career and passion have turned into a way of life she couldn’t imagine being without.

I remember when we started House of Flowers…I loved the idea of working for myself. That idea was very influential in choosing to start a business. After the first year of business we realized the realities of entrepreneurship. Every client that walks through the door is our boss, the wants & needs of our community soon become the compass directing the paths we take as an individuals and a company.

As business owners we have become students of our community. We are constantly trying new things, starting conversations about what it is our community wants and needs from us. We have been fortunate in 10 yrs. of business to have kept this idea and question at the forefront of our dialogue

Teaming up with The Fairy Godmother Foundation is an opportunity once again for us to listen to the wants and needs of our loyal & supportive community. Giving back to a couple facing a life altering circumstance is a great opportunity for us to give back to the community that has allowed us to live out our passion and dream. The idea of taking some of that dream energy and giving it to a deserving couple is a beautiful fate we’re proud to be a part of!

Angela and Patricia, sisters and co-owners of Enchanted Bridal Boutique, had a vision… to open a Bridal Boutique where the “more fabulous” bride could find and actually try on the wedding gown of her dreams. In 2014, our vision became a reality. We couldn’t be more happier with our decision to serve our community.

The very first day that we opened, we met Colleen with the Fairy Godmothers and we hit it off.  Then we heard about the foundation and what it does for the community and we knew we had to be a part of it.
